I've heard that there is an FZR1000 sitting in someones garage and they
just want to get rid of it.

Does anyone have any spec on and FZR1000, specifically seat height.
I've googled and got lots of write-ups on it but no specs appear to be
available. Of course, if anyone has an old magazine lying around with
the info in that would be really useful.

Also, what price would a clean low-mileage model fetch?

  4. No but they do have bolt-on rear subframes
so you could easily lower it.

Exup or not? 'cause it's a lot better.
Had one, not especially low seat but fairly narrow.

Google immediately threw up 790 mm for an early one

It's the same for my Thunderace. Wanna buy it?

  8. The thunderace is better than the FZR1000. The FZR had a tendancy to eat
the bearing behind the engine sprocket...

My exup woz ok. Did about 20k.
I found the 'ace had some harsher vibes.

  10. I meant to add that the mileage before failure was about 30k. It was
probably due to overtightening of the chain more than anything.

Steve doesn't know which model it is, it belongs to someone his Dad
knows so I'm waiting for more info. I would prefer the EXUP, but I
believe the Genesis has a lower seat height.

Mind you, at the price it is going for it would be worth paying someone
to do a decent job in lowering the seat height.
