...since designing your own ideal bike is a bit too much
    you mean something like this?

    Yep, GSXR750 forks, early 90ish
ZX7R originally but touched up here and there.
The RGV-XR supermono is mine, a short story on it here
    http://www.thumperpage.com/articles/XRG660.html but the "Pantera" (Italian
for panther) is a collaboration between me and my brother ie he designed and
built it while I watched and emptied his beer fridge :)

    G'day John,

Are you the same JL I've seen on the mc-chassis and engine lists?

Aye Yup ! That'd be me Mr Ricci, guilty as charged.

You're out in the Blue Mountains aren't you ? Let me know the next time you're
taking that wee beasty to the track - I'd love to have a look up close.

DR750 BIG - the biggest single available (but the yam 660 is the most available)

    JL
(can you tell I've thought about this !)

  8. There is a DR800 also, rarer though. A guy I know used to race a DR750 in
SOS racing, came second in NSW at the time on a road registered bike, only
real mods were a pipe and brakes. Yes it did run a 21" front wheel. He can
    ride a bit though.

Water jacket, just remember there's a water jacket there before you get too keen
    :)

    G'day John,

Closer to Parramatta actually. It's been on the track a couple of times
already for some initial shakedown runs and is now pretty sorted and ready
to race at least. It's been quite an uneventful development path to get it
to this point. But I guess that's because his earlier efforts with other
bikes were...err...much more eventful! Ya live n learn. I'll give ya a yoo
    hoo when it's next out.
