fun with hoses

  1. Between work and the gf I haven't had much time for the bike, but
finally got the engine in last weekend and have started reconnecting
various bits and pieces as I find the time.

(btw, it's a CBR600 for anyone who doesn't know me but might have some
    answers)

Anyway...trying to work out where a couple of hoses go, and the manual
isn't helping much...there are two hoses that plug into the bottom of
the fuel tank, and I'm not sure whether the larger of them is meant to
connect to something or if it just connects to the fuel tank at that
end only? The other one I'm not sure about is the hose that connects
to the top of the water pump housing...it's the right length to reach
the connection near the #1 carby, but there's nothing in the manual to
confirm this. I just don't want to go making assumptions and then find
    out I got it wrong...

Otherwise, it's all looking good! Waiting on new valve cover bolts
(backorder, dammit) and then I can finish putting it all
    together...and about bloody time!!!

    fuel tank

large hose will go to the carby from the fuel tap

Fuel taps quite often run on vacuum a small hose that runs to a carb

quite often another hose that is the overflow that will run out the bottom
    of the bike

Have to agree with the concept, Dave, but giving up work seems a better
    solution to me.
