Fun in the snow?

  1. I imagine it would.

  2. We've just had our flights to Vienna cancelled by Austrian so it's Xmas
    at home this year.

  3. It's largely because the stupid, stupid beancounting wankers in the
manglements in LAs and airports saw the snowploughs that sat behind the
sheds as the rusting piles of scrap they had been allowed to deteriorate
    into and flogged them off.

  4. True 'nuff. One of the best snow vehicles I had was a shite old Renault
10, with rear engine and razorblade tyres.

I'm soooo glad that you didn't add that bit in. My head would have exploded.

My BMW was hopeless in the snow. Traction control on or off, low revs,
high revs, low gear or high gear... it just wasn't going anywhere. I
ended up getting a push from three people to get it up a slight incline
and it's been abandoned at an angle blocking our drive because I just
cannot get it to move forwards or backwards to straighten it up and
park it properly. It doesn't have exceptionally wide tyres either.

Unfortunately, that means the Fiesta van is blocked in, not that I'll
have much joy with driving that either.

    Well I didn't did I. I don't do this Xmas thing so I don't expect there to
be thousands of cunts who can't fucking drive clogging up the bleeding roads
at 5pm on a Saturday. It was ok on the way there just when I started back it
    turned into a nightmare.

The two drivers who insisted on driving about 3 ft from my rear bumper
weren't doing their sex any favours.

That was my first car that was. Front end was a bit light in the snow but no
problem with grip at the back.

BMW's are shite in the snow. Which is surprising considering where they come
    from.

  11. I remember doing that in my first car, an ex-Plod Mark One 1300 Escort
    Estate.

I checked today before the return home, saw the M25 was f*cking chaos
so went through central london. Perfectly fine, no real issues and
empty roads, journey helped by the muppets that can't figure out the
bus lanes aren't in use on a sunday.

And don't they get annoyed when you legitimately use them too!

  14. A corpse in the boot solved that problem.

As in a DYTIUTA stylee. I'm sure Denise would have had something to say
    about that.

Um...yes I'm sure it did. Couple of breeze blocks worked for me.
