Johnson Rd Wollies @$1.21 95 Octane / e10
3k further to the independant same fuel @1.06
Now guess where I filled .

 

1.33 here not matter whether shell mobil caltex or independant.
That's normal price

It's 10c cheaper at Taree and Coffs which defies the 'transport cost'..

 

So it's not the transport cost that they're adjusting. See. No magic.

Yes, I've already made that point but what IS the reason for the 10c
price hike in Port ?

 

Stop worrying about the little things and think about the more important
things. A 1.25lt bottle of coke/pepsi soft drink at my local
supermarket costs about $1.20 but next door at the BP petrol station the
same bottle of soft drink costs about $3. That's almost 200% markup and
you're complaining about a price difference < 10%. Petty in comparison.

Perhaps but the same sized bottle of coke will have the same markup
ratio *and* price. Therein lies the basis of my argument. Aside from the
fact that I use more petrol than coke.. You also neglected to mention
that at said petrol station, said coke would have the advantage of
refrigeration, thereby giving it the option of immediate consumption,
whereas the supermarket option also has the DIY overhead of a fridge (or
a mate with one) and some time. C'mon, apples and oranges.

Besides, if you buy boxes of cans you can get 30-odd for about $18 when
they're on special. Bottles of the stuff go flat before they're empty.
As you can see, I've already sorted all the important stuff, and now I'm
onto mere trivialities.
