Fuel tanks

  1. Hello,

I know it's been cover before a few times, but ......

I have a tank that has been previously repaired (a small hole
soldered) but has recently a fuel stain has started to appear.
What I'm wondering is what is the best method for making the tank safe
to re-work the repair. I was planning on resoldering the hole.
Secondly I know people have mentioned treatments for inside the tank.
Are these treatments for repairing rust, or can it also aid in
stopping leaks? the tank is from my ute but I know the same discussion
has been in here a few times.

Put a hose over a running car exhaust & into the tank to weld/solder it.
