That's only for trade membership; I think their FAQ's a bit misleading.

It's a little like Makro, in that you need to be employed, but
/slightly/ more restrictive in that only certain professions or
    employees of particular establishments qualify.
We've got a joint membership by virtue of Mrs Eddie's profession, but
could also have qualified because my employer is a preferred company.

Milton Keynes Costo lets private people join.

They have different opening hours for normal plebs Vs. company people
for some reason, its not as if they have such superb bargains you have
people queueing up outside waiting to mob the latest offers.

Bingo. Checked with the magic mirror, I'm not 100% sure but it looks like
there is a small crack in this pipe. The pipe is made of two halves and
in one point, more or less half way, there is a vertical crack, small but
probably large enough to let the liquid pass between these two halves
    (stupid design IMHO).
Now the big question: how do I seal this? It's not so easy to reach, I can
reach the point with some tool but not directly with my hands. Or should
I keep the tank always no more than half full?

    Thank you again guys...

  5. Is the filler cap one of those things with a flush surround, held in by
half a dozen bolts or screws? If so, once you remove the entire filler
cap assembly there'll be room to get a hand inside.

Plug the drain hole at the bottom of the tank, & get a small enduro
style tankbag & leave it on all the time - sorted!

Can you find a length of thin-walled plastic tube to line it with?

Not sure of the diameter but I was thinking of the tubes that come with
    those cans of structural foam.

I've removed the filler cap but still to narrow for a hand. I think I'll
try with a kit and, in the worst case, I'll plug the bottom of this pipe.

    Thanks!

You do realise if you plug the pipe without stopping rain hitting the
filler cap area, you'll end up with a tank full of water, yes? I had to
drain the tank & carbs on a Raptor last week for precisely this reason
(drain pipe got blocked with crud).

Have you not been getting them?

You want to have a word with the security boys in your post room - a
    bit too zealous, I suspect.

Yes, that's why I leave it as the last solution. I should probably seal
the top of that pipe, too.

Just buy a replacement tank. You will end up doing this anyway after
faffing around for another week so do it now.

This is definitely the best solution. Do you have an idea of where I can
find a tank for a GS500 2001 yellow, around London?
    Thanks,

    Your local Suzuki dealer.
Or Google for bike breakers and take a chance on getting another bad one.

Sorry one more question... how do you set up a daily digest on ebay?
I must be blind I cannot find the way!
    Thanks,

  17. Navigate to the section you're interested in. In this case, Cars, Parts
    & Vehicles --> Motorcycle Parts & Accessories.

    Click the Advanced Search button.

Enter what you want in the search box. 'GS500 tank' should do it. Check
the 'include title and description' box.

To the right of where it says (at the time of writing this) '68 results
found for GS500 tank' it says [save this search].

Click that. Up pops the, er, pop-up, click Save, job done.

It's worth setting up two or three searches. For example, you get people
breaking bikes and just advertising a number plate bolt for a penny. So
do a second one for 'GS500 breaking'.

Also do one for GS 500 tank, because sometimes people don't get the
model designation correct, and split it like this.

It may pay you, if you get a really good tank at a silly low price, to
buy one that's the wrong colour and have it painted.
