    Hello folks,

I have a 99 honda VTR-1000 with 14K miles and it is idling a touch
rough. I want to put some carb/fuel system cleaner in the next tankfull
but I'm not sure what is snake-oil and what actually works. Any
    recommendations?

    thanks

I have had good luck with Redline Si-1 Complete fuel system cleaner.
It comes in a 12 or 15 oz bottle for about $4.50 and is concentrated
enough that a bottle will last up to 150 gallons worth. It is a
detergent and not a solvent so it dissolves deposits instead of just
moving them from one surface to another (like the stems of the intake
    valves)
Here is their web site: http://www.redlineoil.com/
it has a dealer locator on it.
