Car computer shows as >>>miles to go :p
Er, 'cos they are on a major road
and 'cos gthey are on a major road
I really hate to point this out, but you know that big thing between the
head stock and your balls (on most bikes)? Well thats filled with petrol.
And in an accident will often split. Then the metal bits spark. Personally
I was happier with the petrol container on the pillion seat.

You do read sigs don't you ?
These are not bikes I have owned, but actually own and ride.
Ok, so the GSX250 needs a good kicking and has not been ridden for 5 years.

You removed your petrol tank? Amazing.
Why'dya own so many (especially the smaller cc's).

I know I own cages for commuting but so do you, so why so many old bikes?
Don't you have a favorite that you are happy riding? Don't the small ones
feel underpowered after the larger ones?

That's two of us then... We've both got out pics online.

You are taking the piss right ? I am refering to the "container" mentioned
    previously.
    because I fucking can !
    bikes?

Cage for the times it is needed. Bikes for commuting whenever possible. Be
it Manchest/London/Newcastle or Edinburgh. Too often I can't use the
bike(s) due to the amount of kit I have to carry.

    I am (I suppose ) a biker.....

The XJR is fun, it does silly things but is expensive to run, so I usually
use the XJ900F for commuting. I like the shaft.

The GSX750 is reallymy wifes, but is also heavilly used
The GS550 is fun fun fun , and its a SOB and I don;t care (except it has a
a leaky base gasket). The GSX250 is a rattly ****.

They are all paid for, why should I get rid of any ?

So , thats 2 cages, 5 bikes. I do more miles on bikes than cages, and the
cage does arounf 15k a year.
Yes, but you seem to be acting like one tonight.

  11. It's that one teaspoon of white spirit isn't nearly enough of a
diluent/additive to make any difference. That way lies fuel pump
    breakage (very expensive).

    Here's what works for me...

New (SVO) used (WVO) at 60 to 70%, 30 to 40% white diesel, and about 5%
unleaded. A dash of ATF to keep injectors clean every tankful helps.

I have a heated fuel filter too - that's important.

If you want to run purely on SVO/WVO, you _must_ use a heated fuel
system - that's heated tank, heated pipe all the way from the tank,
heated filter, and heated pipe to the pump. Generally this type of sytem
is used as a two-tank one; you start up on ordinary diesel then switch
over to SVO when the system is up to temp and the SVO viscosity is ok.
Usually takes about 5 - 10 minutes on most vehicles.

  15. £22 in the Trophy recently.
Wrong - LRP is harmless to cats.
    [/QUOTE]
Where did I say LRP hurt cats?
That is my point exactly. Vehicles that require unleaded have the
reduced size filler. LRP nozzels will not fit.

Only to fit more in, the GSX250 is at a mates as I have run out of space
And thats the difference, bikes are more than toys. They make me smile,
even in the wet. Even after serious offs (I have crashed in the dry and
still go out on clear dry days).
