Fuel protests in the frozen north: 5th June

We've just had an email round work warning us of a planned demonstration
by 1000 bikers: "Motorbike club members from across Britain are expected
to link up with local riders for the rush-hour gathering on Thursday."[1]

I'm surprised that there don't seem to be any apparent links to a
sponsoring or controlling group, anyone know any more than me?

(also, after 20 mins of go slow down the m60, with all that empty tarmac
in front, I wonder how 'slow' it'll actually stay!)

I wonder where the figure of 1000 bikers comes from. It feels a little
overzealous.

 

Stupid twats - we'll shortly be able to add "holding everyone up" to
the list of car drivers' prejudices against bikers. And to add insult
to injury, it's not even a worthy cause.

 

I can't make it as I have to work but I'm going to do my bit by chaining my
bike up in my driveway and leaving it ticking over for a couple of hours.

I just heard on the news of some 'blockage' on the M62 at 7:45am, hardly
anything fucking new for that time of day, the bunch of arseholes.

 

Bad form, but the halfwits have got the fucking motorway closed now.
