if France can handily sink the Rainbow Warrior, what kind of reception
do you think Greenpeace would get in Iran ? LOL
The EPA follows the lead of the executive branch, ie the POTUS. Not too
much activism out of the EPA these days, is there.

I do support and am an active member of PETA*, though.

I do ask well. Shrimp, various fish, cows, pigs, along with the occaional
chicken, turkey, and a duck or two are all mighty tasty.

I love the various pranks Joey Skaggs has pulled regaring animals. My
favorite is his business venture called "A Cat House for Dogs". THe SBCA,
PETA, and others were really twisted over that. Things have gotten so bad
what with everything required to be PC, that a pooch can't even get a bit
of tail now and then. >)

TXU is world famous for raping their customers.. We have them in our area..
and they are taking everyone to the cleaners.. The PUC has a file on TXU
that looks like a mountain of paper..

A Friend just got back from Peru and his big shock was that people eat
Guinea Pigs down there. He said there wasn't much meat on them. I'm
guessing it would be like a small Cornish Hen.

we will never run out of fuel. The price will simply go up high enough

people start riding bicycles as many do already in europe.
Alternatively,
rationing like in '72 will have the same consequences. I do not see any
way to tax SUV's based on the gas they use. It is not practical as some
type of big brother milage monitoring would have to be done. Instead,
people buying hybreds and other FE vehicles should get a tax credit. This
needs to be done as part of an energy policy and maybe Bush, et all, can
put
this thru since he is a lame duck and can't run for office after the gas
goes to $6 which is one step of what it will take to get us out of middle
east oil dependency.
