Good day for a ride with purpose.. Brian and I had a good breakfast at Joe's
Coffee Shop about 8 AM and then I meandered over to Cow Town .. Settled in
early enough and there was plenty of parking to go around.. Not many of the
bikers showed up .. Pretty good crowd there today and I didn't count noses
but I guesstimated something like through the day, about 300 coming and
going.. give or take.. Senator Royce led it off and kinda brought everyone
up to speed on our state house affairs.. Roberto Alonzo, another of our
state senators followed him and my only regret was that I didn't vote for
him during his election.. Damn.. like an idiot I supported his opponent in
that race, Domingo Garcia.. Never do that again.. Holy cow... Ol' Sputnik
was on fire today .. He done a "barn burner" .. again.. LOL.. When and if we
lose that one, we have lost another champion.. Then .. Mike Alvey did his
part and he and the wife really contributed to his event.. Thanks to them
both.. Elmer McKeeghan, my old friend was on the front row.. You GO, Elmer..
Quite a few other of the biker bros and sisters were there.. I know them but
the names escape me.. All in all, this event wasn't huge, but, it was
successful and enthusiast.. Maybe next time.. more of our biker friends will
understand how much these people do care about issues that affect us all
...Thanks again for all who contributed the the event...

Rude behavior to respond to one's own post.. right.. OK.. just to correct a
few errors.. Senator Royce West was the lead off speaker, not.. Senator
Royce.. State Representative Roberto Alonzo spoke also.. He's not a
senator.. Ah well, guess I really am getting old.. LOL Perdonami...

    Hey Bill -

Glad it was a good rally for you guys. I ended up helping a
friend that is down on their luck move some stuff to save 'em another
$100 on renting a storage shed. When you have a truck, that kind of
    stuff happens.

Did anyone know what was going on at N.E. Mall in fort worth?
Apparently there were a ton of bikes, some bands, grills, etc. going
on in the parking lot. I never made it by there, but a friend of mine
said it was pretty good (not a biker).

I only heard about it.. Seems the priority of a party is more important to
our biker friends than the extremities of events affecting our everyday
lives.. LOL... Kind of an anomaly, in my own opinion.. I am sure all who
were in Stroker's and the other hangouts were thinking about us and their
support for the causes that affect them, is appreciated.. I can't help but
be cynical and a bit sarcastic about indifference..
