Up for sale is my 1994 Yamaha SRV250 Renaissa. Bought it off my brother
about a year ago as a learner bike. 44,000kms on the clock.
Have now got my open unrestricted license and no longer need the 250.

Is a great around town bike, never let me down. New front tyre about
18months ago and new rear tyre about 6 months ago. Speedo drive on front
wheel was replaced about 12 months ago. Recently serviced by a mechanic.

It's a 4 stroke, SOHC air cooled in-line V twin. 5 speed manual. Has been
converted to a single seater and has the appropriate modification plate
    installed.

Very cheap to run and maintain. Registered as a single seater, will only
cost approx. $200 a year for registration in QLD. Cost's about $18 to fill
(13L tank) and you can get approx. 300km per tank.

Single disc brake up front, drum brake at the rear. Dimensions are Weight
144kg dry, wheelbase 1390mm, length 2095mm, Seat Height 770mm and Ground
Clearance 140mm. Tachometre cup is abit loose, but still works fine and
passes RWC. Just rattles abit when riding.

Also comes with a sheep skin seat cover.

Registered to Feb '07 and will be sold with a RWC. Looking at about
    $3000ono.

Any questions or viewings, please don't hesitate to contact me.

I love the look of the Renaissa (sp?)

I was always trying to come up with some logical reason to buy one.

I used to enjoy riding around on the SRV250, it was a great little bike
, although I used to feel a bit like I had a 'bike up the butt crack' at
times because they are so narrow and light...

I think he meant rationale, which is a logical-sounding excuse, nothing to
    do with reason.

Oh yeah, I know how to rationalise buying a bike. You have to do that,
    it goes something like:
    - hmmm feel desire for new bike
    - come up with wish list of attributes
    - read multitudes of articles on bikes that meet those criteria
    - go buy something utterly unlike anything sensible mentioned above.

    JL
(I've only every bought one bike on logic process and principles, I
hated it(1), in fact it took me selling it and buying the raptor to
realise how much i hated it)
    (1) Suzuki Bandit, eminently sensible useful and capable.Bloody boring.
I don't think I'm old enough for any of those, but then looking at a few
other ausmoto regulars I suspect old age isn't going to start me on
    buying sensible bikes

True, true. We still haven't heard from Jodz about G-S' latest purchase
    have we ?

    JL
(but then I'm in the process of trying to tempt the girlfriend to trade
her CBR600RR on a Daytona 675 because I really want one :) So I doubt
the bike buying thing will upset her too much )
