[snip] If you're going to give /bikes/ a miss, why not try Cane's SR125 and clock up your no-claims again? It's pretty un-nickable.
[snip] I've got a KMX sat in the shed that I used for this purpose. I might use this for that purpose. I've been renovating it for a couple of years. I bought it as a non runner and managed to resurrect the engine, never got round to finishing her though.
Wizard was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever: You may get a discount for not lobbing it but it doesn't count against a 'real' NCB.
On a "real" policy :-( Having insured two SOBs with Carole Nash, one on classic and the other "semi-classic" (due to it being a tiny bit too new for pukka classic (but still remarkably cheap for a 750)) they let me have 30% off the gross premium for "years insured" when I came to insure the Bandit12. That was in spite of a total loss claim eighteen months previously on the *ahem* classic CB750. Claim-free time in the saddle still counts, even if they don't actually call it a NCD. Just about any broker can be cajoled into some sort of introductory discount in any case.
