    One last try in here...

Basically, a tidy, reliable F reg XJ600 in the original metallic red it left
    the factory with.

MOT and tax til February 2006.

33k on the clock, and the condition is such that I have no reason to doubt
    this.

Motad Neta 4 into 1 exhaust system.

Rides very nicely, and has a bill with it for £389 in March 2005, when it,
(amongst other things), had the carbs balanced, valve clearances done, new
front pads, chain, sprockets, sprocket carrier bearing and cush drive
    rubbers.

Oh, and the oil and filter were done at this time as well.

The only things I can see in need of attention in the near future, are the
offside fork seal is weeping, and the front tyre, whilst it has plenty of
tread, has some cracking to the sidewalls.

    Ticks over very smoothly.

Anyway... £450 no offers - ideal winter hack, and I rode it 320+ miles to
get it back from Lancashire, when I bought it.

    Located in East Kent.

Heh, no... I went on a sort of scenic tour to start with... some of it
intentional, some of it placing too much faith in my not so good in older
    age, 'sense of direction'.

Think I took about 5.5 hours all in, including a few stops, and riding
through London, rather than round it.

I was in no particular hurry... and I ended up doing loads of A / B roads,
and through towns to start off with before the novelty wore off, and I
realised as darkness started to fall, that it was probably the coldest night
of the year so far, and the zip in linings for my gear, were still nice and
    warm, at home.

Used to own a "G" reg one many mooons ago, excellent bike (upgraded from a
GPZ400R). Liked it so much I bought an XJ900 as an upgrade a couple of years
    later.

  9. I'd love to buy it, but no dosh. I might raise that much in a month or two,
but that's doubtless no use to you.

First with the money gets it... so if it's not sold by then, feel free. :)
