FS: UKRM Trackday place

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by DoetNietComputeren, Jul 4, 2006.

  1. Various reasons (including but not limited to Work (would need 3 days
off for me) and the fact that neither bike is yet legal to use inside
the UK) I'm not going to be able to attend the Lozzo UKRM Trackday.

I've checked with Lozzo and it's no problem for someone to go in my
    place.

Mallory Park 27/07/2006, it's already paid for at £90, but I'll take
reasonable offers on that - and deferred payment shouldn't be an issue
    for any regulars.

    Any takers?

**** me. A bloke has a casual twitch and nips out for a fag and finds
he's dropped hisself right in the clarts.

Quite apart from the sound of eyebrows rising in one's general
direction, one recalls that due to an unfortunate coincidence, one has
commitments: car tax, car /and/ bike insurance all due now or within
the next ten days. Add to this an unfaired Bandit on 020s and a
family holiday in three weks and doing a trackday recedes to dream
status, when the harsh realities are considered.

There's other umpty stuff to be dealt with too, so I can't really.
Sorry to give a misleading twitch.

  5. Heh. Perhaps my bad for omitting the smiley, but I knew you weren't
    entirely serious.

One of that lot there might be tho. C'mon - opportunity of a lifetime
    innit.

You can have my place for any reasonable[1] sum, although the full
    amount would be nice.

[1] Or, quite frankly, unreasonable sum as well. I'd rather someone
took the place for nowt than it go to waste.

I suppose that that's an intermediate place?

Is it just me that finds those early starts tiresome?

I generally get tired and go home, or fall off, or the bike explodes,
    long before 5:00 PM.

I personally would much rather sacrifice at least one twenty-minute
session for another hour or so in bed and a more leisurely morning.

Whilst I sympathise, there's no chance of this at Mallory, simply due
to the pits being isolated once the track is open.

Of course, if you miss your "briefing" at five past sparrowfart then
you won't be getting any track time anyway.

  16. It's otherwise. My exhaust ate the money I would have spent on a rear
tyre, and the Keeper Of The Household Purse decrees that I shall not go to
    the ball.

    Arsebiscuits.

  17. As I understand it, it's an "any group you fancy on the day" place -
    BICBW.

    So - d'ywannit? Loveyoulooongtimemista.

Oh, I remember that. It was a loooong time ago, though
Well, that's kind of my point: the early briefing time. How many
people really stay for the whole day?

On the couple of occasions that things haven't ended in disaster, I
find that I just CBA to go out on track any more, really.

It's the same with MX practice: I just get to a point where I'm tired
and no longer trying, so all I'm doing is lapping within my comfort
    zone but no more.

I fancy coming along to cheer you all on. What's the deal with
'hangers on' will I be able to chat to everyone in the pits, or be
confined to spectating at the track?

What time does it all kick off?
