Interested in motorized projects - I've been doing a lot of jetskis
    these days, particularly stand-ups.

Original OEM graphics. Over $1k in mods:
    Bills pipe and silencer
Full racetech suspension - revalved and springs
    Setup for 200lb rider
    Pro Taper bars
    WER Steering stablizer ($350)
Upgraded triple clamp for the bars
    Recent front sproket.
    Recent Tires
Pro Taper handguards (not in photo)
    9oz flywheel weight

    2000 Model CR250.
Bought "new" off showroom floor in 2002. Modified and raced for one
season, replaced with 2003 CR250. I'm the 2nd owner and the bike came
    to me in amazing shape.

I'm a trail rider and bought this to fart around with on the trails.
Because of it's gearing and a hard hitting powerband, it's an "OK"
    trail bike.
This bike is very tight, everything is in great shape - it's extremely
well maintained and garage kept. There are 15 hours on the top end.
It does not need bearings or handguards, anything like that.
I've turned down offers of $2k on this thing and value it at
    approximately $2200.

  3. [advert that should be in a forsale group snipped]

    THEN he emailed:
Yep. If you didn't want it known, you shouldn't have made it known.

Which of those two statements is a lie? You either checked and didn't
find specific mention or you didn't find a charter.

Either way, doesn't matter. When specific newsgroups exist for
forsale posts, they're off top in a general discussion group.
Bullshit. Keep USENet in USENet. Stay out of my E-Mail.

    Doesn't make it right.

Doesn't mean you should do it.

So you _KNOW_ posting a binary in a non-binary group is wrong even
though it's not written. The irony.
Again, there are groups for forsale posts. Post your forsale message
    there.

  4. Which has nothing at all to do with what I said.
    And yet you whined.

The AUP at DataBasix is quite clear on that.

    No, actually, it wouldn't.
Then post your forsale ad in a forsale group.
While you should say it, you didn't. You said you checked.

    Right. Nice backpedal.

Actually, there is. There is a common structure among ALL regional
newsgroups. If there is a forsale group, forsale posts go there. If
there is a .wanted group, "Wanted" posts go there. If there is a jobs
group, Job posts go there. It's quite common and has been for
    decades.
It doesn't belong here. It belongs in tx.forsale.

It's the forsale part. I'm sure you really DO understand that.

    It's tx.motorcycles. There is a tx.forsale for forsale posts.

    Your experience is flawwed.
That others have made the same mistake doesn't make it right.

See above. Forsale posts go in tx.forsale. That's what it's for.

tx.motorcycles is for discussions about motorcycles as they relate to
texas. (And poking fun at the Walker boys)
Doesn't matter if you agree or not.

Again, see above. The regional setup is the same for .tx as it is for
any other regional. When a specific group is created, post that
should be in that group that are placed elsewhere are off charter.

    Pretty simple.
Yes. Keep your USENet posts in USENet.

Others will learn from the discussion here. They wouldn't learn a
thing if this were carried out in email.

You really don't have a choice. Were you to e-mail me again after
being notified that I don't want e-mail from you, it'd be a violation
of your agreement with your provider. You'd be subject to whatever
    their Terms of Service allow.
    See above.
Pretty sure it's still on ISC.org but since I'm posting remotely, I'm
not able to look it up at the moment.

Those two thoughts are likely exclusive of each other.
    Actually, no.
Wouldn't matter if it was alright with me or not. This is a
    _DISCUSSION_ forum.
    The latter.
As someone who runs a USENet server, I only partially agree. The
rules are there for a reason. Allow your advert, why not allow one
for parts? Allow one for parts, why not ad-ons, jackets, gloves,
stickers. Allow jackets, why not other forms of clothing. Allow
forms of clothing, why not garage sales?
Takes seconds to look at your headers. Hardly an effort.

You'd disagree, but you'd be wrong.

Post forsale posts in tx.forsale and you'll not hear a peep from me.
You misunderstand the difference between discussion and a forsale
    post.

    Already gave it.
    What threats?

    This what?

Yeah. Iggy claims I lost an account at DataBasix.

1996. This is 2005. Pretty funny.

You missed the part where they agreed that it shouldn't have been
