I have my eye on another steed, so the BMW must go.

    1989 BMW K100RS 8v Model on a F Registration.

Many of you know it or may have seen it, some may have not.

    Good Points.

Everything works, speedo, gear change indicator, heated grips etc etc

Comes with City Panniers (ickle) and Touring Panniers (big).

Looked after and serviced on a regular basis.

New bits recently include a set of BT45s that have a French Run on
    them and some commuting mileage.

    Brand new forks.

Brand new plugs and BMW Plug Leads at last service.

Original toolkit included including a special spanner to remove the
    oil filter.

New Sump at last oil service as a belly pan bracket bolt sheared off
in it when I replaced the old rusty belly pan bracket with a new one.

New genuine BMW Silencer and Bash Plate with non rattler conversion
    last year.

IIRC its 69,000ish on the clock, I'll check when I get home tonight.

MOT and TAX til next year.

Loads of paperwork from BMW and Motorworks for bits and pieces and old
    MOTs.

    Bad Points:

Not many, paint work is showing its age but it still looks a treat
    after a polish.

Open to sensible offers - A grand would be nice - but will take advice
    from TOG on its value.

Bugger bugger bugger. I resisted the last one that came up recently. The
    Bandit's just a pain on the M-way.

What say the foak - is one of these narrower than a Pan for filtering
    through London?

  3. I'm not taking Estonian Sheckles for it though !!

With the city panniers on it - probably a lot narrower I would guess.

And although people knock them, I find you can get a weekends worth of
crap in them without to much hassle, obv if you're off touring then
the touring panniers should be attached.

Oh yeah, the ABS works a treat as well, it had a new battery when I
    bought it.

How about a two week fishing holiday in sunny Normandy?

  5. I have my eyes on a rather tidy 1997 33k VFR750 for £1250.

(I've always fancied one of these new fangled modern sports bikes you
    know....)

  8. I think that's more than fair. Mates rates, more like.

  9. It's quite nice, having seen the link you sent. I didn't realise you
were ditching the K for it. I think that's a big mistake.
