Would anyone be interested in my R1100GS as a winter project.

It's a bit bashed up from the crash I was in and I'm not in the mood to fix
it myself, but it wouldn't be hard or expensive to put it back in a good
    state.

I may be interested in a smaller capacity bike in PX. WHY?

  8. Feel free to put everyone out their misery and post up a ballpark
figure in the meantime, eh... either that or stick it on ebay if you
can't decide, so the 'best man wins', so to speak.

  9. Replacing.

You'll never get that sort of thing straight without a jig to fit it.

I'd rather avoid ebay, and I'm waiting to see if anyone offers a useful bike
in Part Ex. before I fix a figure. To me, who I'm dealing with is as
imnportant as how much I'm getting.

  11. You're missing the point... give people a ballpark figure so they have
an idea of what you're expecting so they can work out whether it's
worth wasting your and their time offering you bike X with Y amount of
    money.
I don't see what that's got to do with actually naming a price for it -
if someone you don't like makes an offer, you can always turn it down
or claim they're '10th in the queue, mate'.

Well start by getting a parts quote to fix it and work down from there

Sir probably knows this already but an ad here :
    http://www.ukgser.com/forums/index.php?
will probably have a queue forming outside your house. I bought my GS off
there and have always had a good response when advertising bikes including a
    px.

    Nicely done.

I'll chuck the FZR in the van and deliver it later. We did agree on a
    straight swap didn't we?

That sounds like a good idea. I wouldn't mind an F650 single, and I guess
there will be a few on there looking to upgrade.

My memory is terrible since the crash. Which FZR was it again?

Sure, I will be over next week. I'm trying not to be tempted myself, not
necessarily successfully. Wonder how it would look with a proper R100RS
    top half fairing grafted on
