Before it gets lobbed on ebay...

    Boxed, as new Optimate 3.

Hardly been used (when I've got a bike, I tend to ride it on a daily basis,
so the batteries tend to stay nicely topped up).

I have the crocodile clip connector, but the one that you leave on the bike
unfortunately... went with the bike. You can buy these leads from bike
shops normally, so you can have the one Optimate unit you can swap between
various bikes you've fitted one of these to, with minimal hassle.

Still has the original price tag on the box - £44.99. £20 + postage (£3
    should cover that)

I've also got the same Oxford lock as seen in the new Argos catalogue -
£49.99 in there, again £20 + postage (bit heavier, so a fiver should cover
that), if anyone here wants it. It's in 'used' condition, but works fine.

Got any pictures or a reference to it on www.argos.co.uk ?

I don't have a catalogue and I can't find it on their webshite.

If it looks good I'll have it.

Mine is 'used'; the exposed links aren't as bling like bright as the one
there, and most of the 'Oxford' has worn off the outer sleeve. Does the job
though, and I've got two keys for it.
Their webshite is a bit vague at the best of times.
    You know where I am...

Not worried about the writing so much. Is the sleeve still in tact
(don't mind about grubbiness) and all the way to the ends of the chain?
If you need to get rid of it sooner then do but I'll give you twenty
notes for it but I'd rather come and get it or collect it since it'll
cost a small fortune in postage. Twenty five quid just seems to much to
    pay.

Yes, the sleeve is 100%. and just has the small amount poking out either end
    as per the pic.
Ok, well gimme an idea of when you're likely to be down this way... a good
excuse for ale I feel, anyway :)

Next time I'll be down is when I'm doing a bit of BotM.

Is it heavy? I mean could I wear it round my neck for more than five
    minutes?

Want me to paint it all gold?

    Fecking chav...

Erm, I'd be inclined to try and fit it under the seat - if you fell off with
that round your neck etc., it wouldn't be doing your spine much good tbh.

JackH emerged from their own little world to say
My Oxford lock, that accompanies me on forays to the Balkans, came with a
nice pouch that attaches to the pillion seat. Good it is, unless you want
to carry a pillion that is (unlikely in WC's case :)) I'm sure they turn up
    on Ebay.

    Fucking Safety Nazi.

Actually, the only way I could bring it back would be to tape it to the
    back[1] of the ratbike.

Good point. I got one when I bought my Squire lock and chain donkey's
ago. Don't know where it is exactly but it's knocking around here
    somewhere.

GLC stylee, you knows it Clart.
The R1 too posh to bring down here then... tsk.

Rucksack or similar, couple of bungees, strapped to pillion seat, jobs a
    good un.

Is there no storage space under the seat, a la 'Blade or Fazer???
