1987 MZ ETZ 300, genuine factory, not a conversion, Orange, long MOT, 24K
miles, runs nicely, has reasonable tyres (F: Metz R: Avon), no tax.
Would make an ideal winter bike.

    £310 ono

Only really the exhaust that's a killer. Enclosed chain is a blinder though.

I would tend to agree. I prefer the styling of the Supa 5, but as Hog
points out there are many factors which add up to make it a blinding
    workhorse.

Anyway, why do you think it's for sale!

I know Micron did a pipe, which I've seen but not ridden. Looked nice
but by all accounts made **** all difference. There were probably others.

Shit that's the one. I didn't realise Burwin were still about. Makes the
bike look much better and sounds good.

I see Burwins do a 404cc conversion. That would be just a little
    unhinged...

Argh. I hate that particular usage. G'wan, Si, tell him you'd like
    about £850.

  16. Heh. I *knew* you would, I knew it.

You won't regret it. An ETZ300 is a surprisingly able machine - but The
MZ Experience is like nothing else. I love 'em, but even I admit they're
    an acquired taste.

I want, I want, I want but I've got the Suzuki GN. And the Benly arrives
this evening. And The Doctor hates MZs.

You're an utter bastard, sweller, you know that?

Strange how these things turn up out of nowhere. I was at my local
Tescos yesterday evening, stocking up on food to keep me fat, and what
    ring-a-ding-ding-dings into the car-park but a *lovely* red ETZ301.
First one I`ve seen around these parts, and quite desireable it is too.
Theres something about the design ethos of MZ that really appeals to me.
Unpretentious, quite spartan really and just that little bit surreal.

Hmmmm.. I need to buy some decent winter clobber with my savings. Not an
    MZ........

As an aside, why is it a point to be noted that it's a factory 300cc?
Also why is there a 404cc kit?

IIRC there's been MZ racing and maybe still is (I don't get MCN very
often, only when *nothing* else to read in the shop). So is it to do
with the racing classes? A 404cc MZ in open class, the mind *BOGGLES*
