Your mate is asking £1000 too much.

In December 2000 I paid £4500 for my brand new ZX6R.

You might want to mention to your mate that these things do depreciate.

OTOH, if anybody is desperate for a sports 600 they can have my bike for £4,400
    - I've knocked a hundred quid off because it's got a few scuffs, scrapes and
bits of sheep on the bodywork.

  8. I thought that might be why he 'hadn't had too many offers', and
pointed out a more reasonable 4200 which someone was offering theirs
for a while back. But hey, he has to sell it so I figured I stick it
up here and see how many 'how much?!' posts it got ;o)

    3 so far...

    2000 YAMAHA YZF-R6
Damn NTL and OE caught yet another thread half way through again.

I have a 2000 R6 too and I'd like to sell it and pay off the finance.
If anyone's after one before I ask a local dealer to sell it for me...
    In Welwyn, Herts.
    regards

    ...
Now it's let me have some more of the thread....
Mine is blue and had 4603 miles on the clock when serviced and mot'd by
    Saunders in June this year.
I think I've managed two trips to London since then so probably 4800ish now.
I'm fed up with paying so much each month for it when it's not getting used.
    :-(

I know - I wasn't interested in buying it, I was interested in terms of my
own bike, which allegedly is worth £3500 - £4000.

    And it's a 2002 vs 2000

(And a Suzuki, yes I know)

  14. You're right, dozy man hadn't even checked the other prices, I think
    he just 'guessed'.

It's on for that price in Bike Trader (top of the list, can't work out
how to get it to be more specific):
    http://makeashorterlink.com/?L11431486

As I said before, he's got to sell it, so if you know anyone wants to
    make an offer....?

Oh, and it's only 8800 miles on the clock, garaged (quite literally
all year round, at that sort of mileage!).

Tell him to look at the one a few below it with 9000 miles on.

  16. Heh, I think his wife did that when she found out he'd paid to put an
ad in a national paper without doing the faintest bit of research.
    Dozy mup.
