just before it goes on eBay, as it's traditional - though usually
fruitless - I'll offer it for sale here.

    Anyway:

2002 model ('02 reg) KTM LC4-E Supermoto, in the rare-ish (that year
    only, AFAIK) red/black colour scheme.

    7100 miles

    located in Enfield, Northest London

Good-ish condition - good old Ogden once described as a "rust bucket"
but it's actually far from that

    the faults are:

    a few corroded fasteners
the mirror stalks could do with...something - sanding down and
    repainting I guess
the right hand side plastic tank decal is faded/discoloured due to
having had petrol spilled on it (not by me, though that hardly
    matters)

    good points:

    a few OEM addons:

22l "touring" (hah!) tank - and as the bike does >50mpg, this means
the tank range is far more than the "my arse is broken" range that you
    get with a supermoto.
    Bash Plate
    Luggage rack (again, hah!)

    new battery.

About 1000 miles wear on the front tyre, and about 500 on the rear -
both look fairly much as new.

MOTed (earlier this week - straight through with no faults or
advisories) and I'll be taxing the thing this afternoon - all
    paperwork present and in order.

Biketrader.co.uk suggests all sort of mad prices, but I'm open to
    sensible offers.

later today or tomorrow (weather's a bit shitty today)
I really don't know. I paid £2850 for it a couple of years back, but
it's only done ~750 miles since then and it's actually a little
    tidier.

As I mentioned, the prices on biketrader are all over the place, with
dealers asking >2K for bikes 3 years older and with higher mileage,
and with some of a similar age to mine being put on sale at >3K.

put it this way, if/when I put it on eBay, it'll have a reserve of 2K,
and if it doesn't sell, it doesn't sell.
    as is mine.

BTW, just taxed the thing, so it's ready to go - ideally I'd like shot
of it by the 13th of next month so I don't have to re-insure it.

I think it's so that people can take the piss by asking silly questions
when you list it on ebay.

I was kinda tempted by the idea of buying it last time you touted it
    around.

    Until I saw it, anyway.

Yeah, I did the same before the Sprint ST was eBayed.
I never posted the link for mine but I did wonder how many of the
    50-ish watchers were ukrmers.

And I got a far better price than I reckoned on in the end, so alls
    well that ends well.

if I have to re-insure it, whatever - both bikes have been quoted on
joint policy with CIA fully comp for £270 - which is, IIRC, less than
    last year.
