    Commiserations, Boxer.

Which model is it? There are quite a few variations of the Senator, each ranging
from around $23k up to $41k for the Signature Series, according to Glass's
    Guide.

    Good luck with it.

    Commiserations not necessary.

The car is not the Signature it is the base model Senator (Based upon a
    Calais).

Glass's Guide & Redbook are really not a useful resource in the current
market place, it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Similar cars on Carpoint are listed at about $30,000 but I think they are
dreaming. In my view it is worth between $22,000 to $26,000 but who knows,
whatever it gets to it will be sold.

Speaking of which I just had an email back about after I enquired about
a bike that I was interested in.

In the email I explained that I wanted to do a REVS check and needed the
VIN and engine number to do so.

The seller emailed back saying that he would not under any circumstances
supply VIN or registration number or engine number to anyone and
accusing me of being a scammer... [1]

    [1] Obviously that's one bike I won't be buying :)

No fire sales here, I purchased a BMW 525i motor car hence the Senator had
    to be retired.

Still have 5 BMW motorcycles in the garage.

A garage of 75 square metres (just part of the house) about double the size
of your standard double lock up..

Rumour is he was actually putting a second story in it when he fell through
the ceiling onto his bike a few years back!

Must remember to get that ceiling repainted.

(Actually had an attic ladder, insulation and a floor installed in the
ceiling for storage mid last year).

    That's a real shed. Mine's 90 with a 45 metre enclosed lean-to. But I
park my bike in the 36 metre garden shed.

That's true, but if you had to get the car valued then Glass's Guide is what
they'd use. And maybe that is what the lawyer was using as a guide. Either that
or he's looking to maximise his take...
