I'm going to work in Singapore and there's absolutely no chance of
keeping the bike, so, here goes. I'm selling the bike, throwovers,
paddock stand, etc as I'll be bikeless for a while and I might as
    well sell the lot.

Not sure of value. I think it's circa £2,000 but hopefully
TOG or SWK will chip in. I'm located near Oxford.

    Honda VTR-1000 Firestorm, Yellow, R 671 YLD
    15,379 miles.
    9months MOT, Taxed til 02/07

    First reg: 7 April 1998, 1 owner

    Condition:
Very clean, mostly dry miles (except every French Run ;-).
    Never dropped or crashed.
New rear tyre at MOT, front new last year so still good.
    In stock trim except for:
    - K&N filter
    - transparent tank protector sticker
    - frame protectors (crash mushrooms), unused
    - hugger (yellow colour coded)
    - rear pillion grab rail
    - Datatagged
    - Timex watch on handle bars

    History:
Bought new in April 1998 from Honda dealer for £6,400

    MOT 14/04/01 6,891 miles
    MOT 16/04/02 8,591 miles
    MOT 04/04/03 12,015 miles
    MOT 08/04/04 13,531 miles
    MOT 30/04/05 14,528 miles
    MOT 22/05/06 15,074 miles

I've got loads of receipts for oil, filters etc.

    Offered with:
    - owners manual
    - both keys, one unused
    - all original chain guard and shock cover (removed
    to fit hugger)
    - Haynes manual
    - original pillion seat cowl in matching yellow
    - paddock stand
    - oil drain tray/carrier
    - spare exhaust pipe (current one is dented, spare
    bought but never fitted)
    - throwover panniers
    - U-lock, Japanese so fits underseat tray perfectly
    - puncture repair kit

Heh. I was just ruminating that it would be worth about £2k tops, with
    all that kit thrown in.

    It rained a lot, Okay?

Actually, I agree. I should have used it more. Now I'm
just getting depressed. Should I pop out for a last hoon
right now or paint the house? Decisions, decisions.

Sounds like a lot of bike for not a lot of money.

    TOG@toil, ,
    Cheers TOG.

Seeing as it's ukrm, let's get the ball rolling with £1,900 ono.

S'ok. I have similar sets of MOT certificates.
I know the feeling. At least I'm commuting on the bike
a bit more these days so next year's MOT might have
a different first digit on the mileage[1]

[1] Actually, probably two seeing as it's 29xxx at the
    moment.

Long time no seeing of posts Mr Bruin.

Are you going to Singapore to chase the locals by any chance?

    Hiya.

With wife in tow (toe?), the correct answer can only be No.
As Darcy observed, I may be into 'bamboo' but I have my grove
    picked out.

Returning to ukrm after so long is very nostalgic actually,
until I read that, while various people have gone and returned,
everyone has the same views as xx years ago.

It's a cultural time capsule. An Institution. It's what I imagine
an addiction is like -- all or nothing. Except the endless hours
spent achieving nothing was starting to impact my CV. Perhaps
the regulars can say how they manage ukrm and normal stuff,
    like breathing?

    "groove" would have been funnier.

Personally shocking, but you can't argue with the market.
They were going for £4999 (in the ugly blue) for a short
while. Someone is going to get a bargain IMHO.

;-) Don't knock the perfect setup.

Sorry about the name error (s/c/s/) -- it's been a while.

  14. Houses take much longer to sell than bikes. The house will still be there
when you get back from your hoon. YKIMS.

I only read it and post in the evening when I'm not busy. Ok, sometimes
I scan in the morning before I leave for work but never whilst I'm
    working.

Weekends often get wasted here when I've nothing better to do though.

it doesn't bother me in the slightest, neither spelling being my
