It's got to go, to make way for the next project. So: Honda SL125, 1974 model. One of the best in the country, of that I'm sure. Been resprayed in US-spec XL250 yellow/black. It's a lovely paint job, so I've left it as is and sod originality. 17k miles, believed genuine. Engine is lovely. Top whack maybe 60+. Brand new OE front forks and seat. Brand new indicators. Wheels recently rebuilt by Hagon, with new rims, polished hubs and stainless spokes. Brand new tyres and tubes, brakes, chain, sprox. New battery. Fitted with a neat little rear carrier, too. Not concours, but delightful. It could use a new pair of shocks simply because the existing ones are all spring and no damp, but that doesn't stop its rideability. Long tax & MoT. So what's it worth? Well, a part-restored one went up to £765 on Ebay recently and failed to meet reserve (daft seller - I'd have taken the dosh). That was resprayed in original silver, redone frame, redone engine, wheels needed doing, it had no electrics fitted and wasn't a runner. So £800 for this 'un. No, not cheap at all, but a damn sight less than it cost me ('twas ever thus) and SL125s are really sought-after. SW London area.
