FS: Honda Bros 400, 22k miles, North London.

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by Toby Wintrmute, Aug 16, 2004.

  1. Hi,
I had a quick look thru the FAQ and didn't see anything about not
posting ForSale adverts, please don't hurt me too much if i missed the
    right place :)

Anyway, I have a F-reg Honda Bros, the 400cc model. It has 22,000
miles on it, and is reliable and has been serviced regularly, etc. I
have a bunch of service history for it, although while I've owned it,
    I've done my own servicing.
A new chain and sprockets went on just a few hundred miles ago, and I
fitted a small screen some time ago too.
The bike is currently taxed and under MOT, with a few months left to
    run.

I'm located in North London, and people are welcome to come around and
inspect the bike. I'm selling it due to buying a larger bike. (While
the Bros is good for travelling around London, I seem to be travelling
around outside of London with my girlfriend and luggage often now.)

I'd like something around $850 for it, although I'm open to offers
    too.
Cheers, and feel free to contact me on the above address for more
    information.

    tjc.

About 460 quid then? Sounds fair to me.

Well that came out weird... that was supposed to read as a Euro symbol, but
after posting came out as a question mark.

    What's all that about then?

Why did you put a euro symbol at the end of your last sentence.

Well at that price it might.

I'm never averse to a profit.

Was this a forerunner of the NTV 650?

    Ugly bugger init?

  11. Don't know what funny-money your question marks are :) , but I was
    meaning UK Sterling pounds..
I have an AU keymap, there's no pound symbol on it anywhere.. (OK, so
I should have done UKP$850 or £850 or something though..)

    Sorry about the confusion.

It's an alright little bike for London. Enough guts to get up to speed
on the motorway, but still small enough to zip around in the inner
city, and no fairing to worry about when you're trying to squeeze into
that last little space on the bike ranks..

    Cheers,
    Toby

  12. Sort of.. It was the Japanese equivelent, only they made it with a
chain instead of a shaft, and used a lighter frame, and tuned it for
their slightly higher octane fuel. So, it's considered to be a bit
    nicer than the NTV.
But I think people tend to buy them for the reliability and
    size/weight, rather than the looks?
    *shrug*
It stood by me well, anyway.
