Ill consider breaking it, if there is enough interest. GSXR400 Race bike. 1992 GK76A model. Due to lack of funds to continue racing I have decided, reluctantly to sell my GSXR race bike. Its had half a season at Jurby last year and its not been raced since. Highlights: Skidmarx Race Fairing. This has also been modified to ACU spec, and has an enclosed belly pan. This was £225 new. Its got a couple of marks on it where I hit a cone, but its not cracked. It could do with a paint if your overly fussy. This can be done fairly cheaply. Nearly new Avon Viper (very sticky) tyres. They have only done a trackday and a couple of meetings, lots of tread and grip left. 120 & 160 fitment. Carbs have been completely cleaned and overhauled by Dave Hagon at EvoMoto. This has made the bike run and rev extremely cleanly. This was at a cost of over £240, and have only done as much running time as the tyres (they have also been drained over the winter to prevent any old fuel slugding them up). GSXR600K7 rear shock conversion. Race end can, in very good condition. The link pipe however has been slightly knocked and has a ding in it. HRC brake reservoir - really trick looking, and straight from the Japanese racing company! Brand new spark plugs (£60), brand new HT leads, brand new plug caps. Brand new, braided antikink fuel lines. Brand new oil and filter. Everything that needs to be lockwired has been lockwired. Brake systems all bled and new DOT4 filled. Fuel tank recently cleaned out. Not so highlights: This bike is NOT road legal. Its probably beyond ever being. It has no lights, no horn, no side-stand, no speedo, nothing that would make it a road bike. The wiring loom has all the bits it needs to put it all back, but it would be one big job. You could maybe have it as a daytime only bike if you could get it past its test. Although it handles EXTREMELY well, it was never as powerful as other 400’s - but hey, winners can make it up on the brakes The screen got painted at some point in its life. Its not cracked though. If I had the money to continue to use the bike I would, but its just going to be stuck in the garage for another year - and I would rather it got used. For all the above, and Ill throw in a rear paddock stand Im asking for an entirely reasonable £500 for a UKRM'r. Ill consider a swap for something else, maybe a 250 - 350cc crosser, or a TDR250 or anything really, offer me something, I might just say yes. This bike would be great as a trackday hack, or as I used it for, club racing. Ideal to get you started - or even as a spare! Its on the Isle of Man, so youll either have to come and get it, or I could meet you with it at Liverpool docks with it.
