Offered here, before I stick it on fleabay.

Only thing missing is a mini-USB lead, which was missing when I got
    it.

I've added a cradle, to use it on the bike and the Garmin motorcycle
    lead.

Software and maps to V9 unlocked and a more recent version, which I
didn't get round to unlocking, but shouldn't cost to do so, as I
    believe there are easy hacks.

It will have a £100 reserve plus delivery on fleabay, but a UKRMer can
have it for £90 plus delivery.

Is that the ruggedised, waterproof suitable-for-bike use type?

    European maps?

    If so, I'll have it.

Tempted, seeing as my TomTom battery went the same way as all the other
    wanky fucking TomTom satnavs.

Has it got a car kit with it?

there is a more recent set of maps available [1]. Garmin no longer
support the 2610 so you can't get a legit copy or unlock code. Torrents
are your friend[2] and I can direct you to a nifty utility that will
    unlock the data.

Email me if you need any help.

The device is slow but has worked well once I got used to it. Used on 3
trips to the Alps and in that London. The bundled Mapsource software is
good, allowing you to plan routes abd upload them to the device.
Touchscreen doesn't like strong sun - it randomly selects a cell as it
expands. Simply hitting the top right hard button returns the screen to
where you had it. A 2Gb CF card will hold most of Europe - I usually
leave off Scandinavia as I have no plans to visit there. Fr J doesn't
mention if he is including a CF card.

[1] City Navigator 2009 - note more recent versions of maps labelled
"NT" won't work with the 2610 so the 2009 version is the last update you
will be able to get. [2] I have a genuine Garmin DVD with the data but I
believe you have a decent broadband connection and you would still need
    to unlock the data

You don't know what you're letting yourself in for. I have a nuvi 1390
for car use, that I haven't mastered yet - and Mapsource just won't
work for me, 'cos I'm a numpty.

If the 2610'll get me to Chimay, that'll do for me.
Thanks for that. You're a useful bloke to know, you know?

Mine got me to Chimay fine. In fact I liked it so much that I got a
(later) 2820 as that takes the 'NT' maps that wessie referred to.

They're pretty rugged and thanks to RAM mount there are tons of mounting
options for them to pretty much any sort of vehicle.

As ogden says, that's hardly a challenge.

    http://gpsunderground.com/forums/index.php is a good resource - tutorials
for numpties and gave me the knowledge on how to unlock Garmin data, now
they have withdrawn any legitimate way to do the job.

You know nothing of slow satnavs. I'm still using the NavPlus+ in my
Audi which was probably designed in about 1995. It's about 30x the size
of a TomTom and does much less - no postcodes, speed cameras, pubs or
    indeed anything else useful.
