Was going to post this on ebay until I realise how much they charge
    these days !

Email me at simonp99 on google if interested. I'm in New Milton Hants.

    I have a CBR1000FS, Over the years I've done thousands of super-fast
and economic ( > 50mpg) miles ( commuting along the M3) on her,
I've got a Honda Blackbird now and this bike has been sat idle for 2
years, 1 year in the garage and in the garden under cover for a year.
I started her up about 3 months ago and she ran OK.
I simply can't see her sit and go un-loved so your chance to grab a
    bargain is here !

In the main, the good parts are:

    Recent chain and Sprockets
Stainless exhaust system ,with remus titanium road and alloy race
cans , jetted for race can if I am correct.
    K&N Air Filter
Scotoiler with recently replaced oil reservoir
Recently had Valve Clearances checked and adjusted ( hence orange goo
    on Rocker cover, LOL )
Regular Servicing by owner including brake fluid and oil changes
Krauser Luggae ( 2 x Rear panniers ) and fixings to be included in
    sale
    Brakes OK IMHO
Fast, reliable, comfy and economical ( fuel and insurance way cheap)
Recent OE battery ( taken off bike and kept charged up indoors !)
Black and Green... doesn't look like a blast from the past

    The not so good..

Perished/ cracked rubber on mirror ( pretty reasonable from David
Silver for OE mirrors last time I checked in fact )
I don't know too much about the previous history of this bike but
she's always used a bit of oil so keep an eye on it !
Been stood around for a while so perhaps suit mechanically minded/
    experienced rider
Exhaust can bracket was welded up by a friend but was welded back to
front, may still fit though.. needs some non urgent attention !
this is a 15 YO bike she does show signs of age but nothing really
    that bad .

I'm in the process of fitting New tyres and getting MOT. Will
negotiate if new owner wished to go ahead and do this themselves.

The only problem I am concerned about other than the tyres and the
fact it's gone unused is that the radiator fan recently blew its
fuse. It's OK at the moment and I can't see why it would have failed.
I think the connector to the fan may not have been connected correctly
causing a poor connection which can cause fuse problem I think.
I've fixed that now though ! If not then it's going to be a new fan
    from Ebay...

I've got no job at the moment so fairly reluctant to spend large
amoutns of cash on this, would be willing to accept reasonable offer
or will replace tyres and MOT and try again.

Note that the Chain set cost over £100 and the Titanium, Remus road
can cost £300 ! The luggage is worth quite a bit as well.. Looking for
any offers since no sure exactly what she's worth and dont want to
spend a fortune on ebay to find out !

Pictures to follow, I will try and answer any Email questions within
    24Hrs.

This is a supremely comfy and super fast and reliable bike even by
today's standards, along the motorways it even makes a sensible choice
of transport and you will not be disappointed for this sort of money !
Honda sold thousands of these so all the parts come up on Ebay and you
can't really go wrong ( not that you should need any parts !)

I believe that posting at least an idea of what you want for it would be
    useful.

As for what the chain and end can costs, it matters not a jot.

What, £8 to list it and a further £35 if it sells. That doesn't seem bad to
    me.

Be better if you said where it is, posted pics, mileage, age and some
idea of what you want for it. Whatever you've paid for add-ons doesn't
matter .. unless they're extra and you're including the standard parts
    they replaced.

As it is your ad looks like it's trying to justify what it's cost you
rather than giving an idea of what it's worth.

    IMHO of course .. ;)

    *Ding* Unless <£100.
Most likely it's been 'maintained' (ie: Just about kept alive at minimum
cost by an animal). Rust will be everywhere important, like fork stanchions
and caliper pistons and the oilways will be full of orange worms. *Nasty*.

I paid 100 quid for one of these yesterday, a decent condition 1987
model that was running quietly when I handed the cash over.
