Well it's finally got to go, my much loved CBR600 Sport (1).

Herewith the spiel - you can skip to the end if you want ...

One Burd owner from new, presented in completely standard condition,
just as it came out of the showroom:

    Registered September 2001
    15700 miles
Black and red with yellow and white graphics
Brand new tyres (Dunlop 207s) not even scrubbed in
    Brand new chain and sprockets
    12 months MOT
    6 months tax
    Standard can
    Just had 16000 miles service

    Also available at extra cost:
    Black double bubble Piagi screen
    Black Pyramid Plastics hugger
    Akrapovic Ti race can
    Spare (less than perfect) plastics
    Baglux tank cover

Many of you know this bike (yes, you've watched my arse along the
road, I know you know) and know that I have looked after it carefully,
(the blimmin' bike, not my blimmin' arse, OK) that it is always clean
and has never been crashed (as such ;-)), raced or even done a track
    day.

Yes, it has been on its side twice (once each side) but both times
were while stationary. No great damage was caused and it was put
right properly (by Bob King in Bedford and then by Flitwick
Motorcycles) at the expense of the TP insurers both times.

The bike is in immaculate condition and carries its miles very
lightly. Bar one small stonechip/scratch to the headlight lens, there
is no visible defect. The downpipes and very adjacent radiator fan
housing carry some light corrosion, but that's it. There is a faint
aroma of Mer about it and even a lingering whiff of the chamois
leather, which has stood the finish in very good stead.

It rides delightfully (for a 600 ;-)) and is very comfy and easy to
ride around town, ripping up the road or to do distance. It does
everything remarkably competently, as a highly-developed Honda should
    - it even has a tiny bit of character, which is allegedly unusual for
    an 'Onda.

Uzi is *my* bike, has served me very well and I have done my very best
to keep her in prime condition as you can see from the current photos
    which can be found here:

    http://www.garagepixies.co.uk/cbr600_f1_sport.htm

I have to sell her to fund the purchase of the ZX-9R and I will miss
    her.

You can give Uzi a good home for only £4000.

I'm offering Uzi here first at a uk.r.m. friendly price as I feel she
may be more appreciated by one of you 'orrible lot - or one of your
    little friends, perhaps...

If you're interested, mail me and we can arrange viewing, test ride(2)
or even delivery COD if you're that keen (not you UKRMMA, before you
start). Make it soonish though, as the local paper, MCN and eBay all
    stand in the wings.

    (1) I love the 9R more!
    (2) Test ride only with 4K in cash in my hand, tyvm.

For those of you who have not seen Uzi, I will happily stand witness
that it's very, very, very tidy.

    I presume this ...

    http://www.garagepixies.co.uk/IMG_0211.JPG

    is this ...
    rather than this ...
Never has a bike *needed* an aftermarket can more desperately, if only
    for aesthetic reasons.

It looks about 18" too long.

    Salad Dodger says...
I said exactly that to Elly earlier. I have a feeling that's half the
reason the Akrapovic went on in the first place.

Now there's an idea, I'll go and and have a fossick in the drawers to
    see what I've got.

Went for a picnic yesterday with my Big Sis and her family - she made
me a lovely birthday cake :)
