Seeing that I'm having a bit of a garage clearout and as I'm not going
to Chimay either, I figured it's time to put the 400/4 up for sale:

1977 400/4, MOT & Tax early next year (March, AFAIK). Yellow (the V5
still says red because it was red when I bought it, but I got a
better tank and sidepanels off TOG). Around 48k on the clock, runs,
rides OK and has all the really hard to find bits on it, including the
correct grab handle (confirmed by TOG) and the toolbox. The latter two
are made out of unobtanium, even Dave Silver can't help with the correct
    parts.

All chrome parts are present, with the exception of the rear
mudguard as the PO had replaced a lot of them. They're showing slight
signs of pitting (rear mudguard is the worst, but that's original) but
overall they're in decent nick. Oh, and it's also got a Cibie headlight,
which is a sought-after conversion. The seat has been recovered, it's OK
but it's obvious it isn't the original. The seat pan also has a slight
crack in it (they all do that sir).

While it's got all the sought after bits on it, the bike would still be
a full stripdown and rebuild jobbie if you wanted to use it as a basis for
a restoration. I think you could find a better basis for a resto but
then again, this one's at least confirmed OK and correct. Anyway, I'd
say it's a good user bike for someone who wants a 400/4 and just ride it
and possibly make it a bit nicer over time.

TOG says it's worth between 900 and a grand; UKRM(C) price is 850 with
no haggling, which is slightly less than I paid for it.

I'll get back to you tomorrow when I'm sober. I've done enough WUNing
    for one weekend.

Well, if the beer goggles have worn off, sir may want to have a look at
the pictures I forgot to link to yesterday:

It's not quite that shade of piss yellow IRL (the colour is darker and
more reddish) but I CBA to faff around with Photoshop in a bid to
    correct the colour.
