    Going on eBay tomorrow night.

    BMW R45 - 1981/W reg.

    Plus points: Taxed to end of June 04; MoT'd to July 04; S/S exhausts;
    new Hawker Odyssey battery.

    Minus points: Needs servicing, carbs balancing etc; possibly needs a new
    clutch plate; a few marks on LHS from a minor low-speed spill (nothing
    broken).

    Telford, Shropshire.

    Couple of pics available at: http://www.wossname.freeuk.com/r45.html

  8. Might make it as a Frankfurt bike under a "slower than a Benly" exemption.

    By "for sale" are we to understand that you actually expect money in
    exchange for this?

    How very strange!

    R1150GS would be the only one I'd consider. I'll have to wait until they
    get to sensible money, i.e. not now. By the time I'm ready to buy a BMW,
    I'll be of *that* age group anyway.

    A Beemer wot needs a new clutch should be avoided like the plague.

    Yebbut, I can do the clutch in my FJ in about half an hour, this includes
    a coffee break :)
    I don't even have to drain the oil.
