FS: 2002/03 VFR800 (to be replaced by a.... a.... um.... child???!!)

Hi all,

A mate has to sell his beloved baby, and just because his missus is about to
produce a baby of another variety. Of course this is incomprehensible to
most of us, but at least it will provide an opportunity to someone to form a
new love relationship with his old squeeze.

Here are a few details on the bike:

- I'm unsure whether it's a 2002 or 2003 model - will confirm that with him
asap.
- Red
- 12 months rego
- Staintune pipes + original pipes (never used)
- Givy top box + tank bag
- 2 near new tyres
- 13,000 kms
- Excellent condition, never dropped

I've ridden this beast and it has been fully serviced and maintained and
sounds bloody good. Dave bought the bike new and looks after his things so
you'll have no worries. Located in northern Sydney.

Dave is after $14k but is open to other suggestions (the like of which I'm
already bracing for...). If you want a piccy, then email me at [deldridg at

Might be worth putting something in the OZVFR forum (http://www.ozvfr.net/).
He's more likely to get closer to 13k than 14k for it though, of course only
after they offer him three fifty and the kick in the nuts. I've got a '03
VFR which I picked up from a dealer this year for $12,990 with 5,000km (it
had no pipes or bag though).

For some reason it seems to become my nick name where ever I go. It's
probably something to do with being 6'3 and built like a brick shit house.
Now I'm hoping my wife calls me it for a totally different reason. ;-)

I looked at a 2002 VFR800 last week. 9,000 odd kms on the clock, perfect
condition, and included disc lock and 2 helmets.
Asking price was $12k.
So yep, even with the extras, $14k is probably unrealistic.
FWIW, I ended up getting a K1200RS instead.

if its the 02 then anybody that knows wouldn't touch it as there has been
many probs with the vtech being first model and all that
