Thanks, Chris but I think it's just because I "pay attention".
That works out on the road too. ;)

Speaking of roads... I haven't yet figured out how to rig up pontoons to my
bike. I'm not b*tching, mind you. I'm appreciative of the rain we're
finally getting. Good thing Joe already got our plowing done.

  2. Darlin' could y'all send some of that wet
stuff up here? The wheat, range and hay pastures
need it bad. For that matter so does my yard.

History does not record anywhere at any time a
religion that has any rational basis. Religion is
a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up
to the unknown without help. But, like dandruff,
most people do have a religion and spend time and
money on it and seem to derive considerable
    pleasure from fiddling with it.

You can have a turn, right after us.
We've had one helluva drought and our stock tank was plumb dry. Once it's
had it's fill, I'll see what I can do. ;)

Come in Sunny.... are u still there? Weather report in your area showed the
shear, bow, rotation, golf balls, updraft, deludge, high winds, straight
line winds, and a bunch of rain. I see no way you could make through that...
    come in Sunny..report.

Yep, still here. We only got 4½ inches of rain on Friday. That's not all
that much, except Wed. & Thursday we received about 1½ inches, so the ground
was already soaked. Didn't get any of the hail that was reported west of
here, and the wind wasn't all that strong.
Joe had a lot of fun though. He works for an auto dealer, driving/hauling
vehicles to auctions. They went to Abilene yesterday and he ran right into
the worst of it. Made it back late but ok. On the way home, he drove a
real nice caddy (bought at aution by the dealer) and found out that it
    *floats*.

Actually, as it turns out, I know people in the area who would be kind
enough to drop by and give you a cashier's check/money order and
either arrange to drop the bike off at the shipper's, or store it for
me until I can arrange things. So, I appreciate the offer of delivery.

So, if we can come to an agreement on the price, we could do a deal.

    Thanks.

I could've sworn we already *DID* come to an agreement with the price?

Maybe it's me, but I don't seem to see what the issue is. If you want
the bike, pay me for it. If you're not available to pay now, and you
want it shipped to you, pay via paypal. If you have someone down here
locally to pay for it, and they'll arrange the shipping, have them
    bring a sack of cash.

What's the big deal? Or are you just making noise?

    ***DISCLAIMER***

This acceptance of $1500 purchase/$1900 shipped only extends to
    chornbe....no one else!

No, I'm absolutely *not* just making noise. If you're serious, so am
    I. My cruiser is for sale, and I'm looking for something sporty to
supplement the FJR. I wanted a VFR, but all the older ones I've looked
at are beat to shit and the newer ones are... ahem... held with
certain pride by their owners (read as: expensive).

You and I have a checkered past, hence my hesitation. Again, if you're
serious, we can deal. We don't have to like each other to help each
    other out.

    And thank you.

    No what?

I said in a couple posts back to bring me a sack of cash....I've been
waiting for someone to show up...

Mike hasn't called me or nothing.....

I'm about to the point of pulling it off consignment and dumping some
money into it and fix it up. I have my eye on some trick looking
spinners and pinstripe that just might do well for that little bike.

I don't get it. First the guy comes on here with his little prayer
meeting hoping we don't make it back from Mexico. Then when I get back
here, he's offering to buy my Hurricane. When I say "okay", then he
starts talking about being checkered or something. I wait a week and
he now is wanting me to say "no" to his buying the bike?

Maybe I *was* being too vague with him....

Whew! I guess I might've been best to stay in Mexico....at least down
there, there's a reason why I have trouble understanding them! :)

Maybe his wife told him she would kick his ass if he bought such a
motorcycle as the Hurricane or maybe he looked at the pictures of it
    and got scared.

    Brian,

No, I was serious. I am serious. As I mentioned, you and I have a bit
of bad history. If you're willing to sell the bike to me, I don't want
that to get in the way or cause problems. You want to sell, I want to
    buy.

If you're still OK with dealing with me, then let me get the cruiser
deal done (I'm delivering it tomorrow), get cash in hand and we'll go
    from there.

    Thanks!
