FS - 1987 BMW K75s

Discussion in 'UK Motorcycles' started by sweller, Sep 19, 2010.

  1. Given the mileage, condition, and the full luggage kit - I'd say £900
would be fair to both sides. Sweller might get £1000+ if two K75S freaks
were after it: WUN might get lucky and pick one up for £800.

    Yes, that's about right.

    Hmm...

Simon, I'll give Aunty Carole a bell tomorrow and call you, OK?

The getting pissed overnight bit sounds good, but camping in Weston
Super Mud in October is less attractive. Depending where you're
planning on getting pissed, I may get the train down and try to
remember to get the last train back.

We'll be getting pissed, but I think "planning" is pushing it a bit.

We'll be camping at the airfield on the Saturday night, and watching the
racing in town both days (though alas I'll have to stay sober on the
Sunday). Drinking, well, it'll happen, but where is anyone's guess.

Ok, well you've got contact details for me and if you're wondering
which phone I'm using these days it's the one starting 07971. Either
email me or give me a bell and we'll try and sort something out.

I'd expect "planning" to be involve deciding whether to stay at the
campsite or head to the nearest pub/curry house, probably at the last
    minute.

I would appear to have agreed to become the latest custodian of the UKRM
    slut-bike.

It's moving up in the world, eh? No longer will it be pimped from a back
street lock-up. Just a cosy life in genteel surroundings, under a suburban
    madam.

    Yeah... Uhh... Yeah.

Not really sure what happened. His eyes went all read and spinny, and a
voice in my head said "Capitalism is gooooooooooood", then it all went a
    bit... odd.

The campsite is on the airfield with little in the way of pubs within
an easy walk so the decision is whether to stay in town getting pissed
or get back to the campsite for some sleep. There is a shuttle bus
between the beach race area and the airfield campsite, about 2 miles.
There MIGHT be a beer tent and/or assorted food vans on the campsite.

I have two 400 fours and a GS500 available here.
All properly T&T ready to ride. The bloo one would make a nice winter hack.

What kind of alternative universe are you living in? - where a GS500 or
    400/4 is an alternative to a K75....

None are good 'winter' bikes, either.

It's a planet where he's lumbered himself with three old sheds, and is
    now desperate to get shot.

So big deal, they are alternatives that someone might like to consider.
    Dont be such a grouch.

I need to make space somehow for a VERY nice CBR600F so at least one bike
    has to go .......
