    Hello all,

I've decided I'm fed up with not having a decent bike to ride and need
to clear out all of my 'projects'. If anyone here is interested, I've
got a 1979 GS850 for sale. I'm looking for about £350 and there is
    more information at http://www.autg54.dsl.pipex.com/GS850.htm. I've
owned it for over 15 years and it's time for it to go.
I live in Fordingbridge, Hampshire. Please get in touch if you're
    interested.

    Regards to all

    Mark

I thought about it, but the 550 would have to go, and I have had enough
stick getting shut of 1 of her bikes last month .

but I haven't got 350 notes, and if I did have, there are plenty of other
    things I need...

Actually, apart from the crap name, it looks like quite a nice little bike.
Probably a sleeved-down 650 Sausage engine, and an intriguingly complex
front brake. If you look at this one:

....you'll see that it seems to be a double-sided TLS setup. Hmm...

  11. This looks like the Savage single.

Suzuki also made a GR650 Tempter twin, which had a bizarre crank that
incorporated flywheel weights that were centrifugally moved out of play
    at higher revs.

The idea was that at low revs you had lots of plonkability and free revs
    at higher regimes.

It was a a disaster. I rode one, once, in Sweden. Felt like a GS450 with
    a bit more poke.

Hence the reference to "Sausage" up there^. Music hath charms...
I've seen pictures of those. Definite air of being complete crap.

I like it too, but I'm not going to shell out a grand for one.

  14. bloody hell. That's what Vincent put on the 1000s. Wonder how they balance
    the cables?

"As the web site's name suggests, all vehicles offered for sale on this site
are salvage vehicles. They all require some attention before use."

Yeahbutnobutyeahbut! It only looks like it's missing front indicators
    aside from the chain.
