    All -

Well as it goes I am now in San Jose, California. It is
absolutely gorgeous here....and I have no bike to ride. This morning
I was walking through downtown Saratoga. The main road leads up into
the mountains, which I have drove in a car. Bike after bike drove
past and all I could do was grit my teeth in frustration.

I checked into renting a bike, and I was looking at about
$600.00 for the weekend by the time you factored in all the taxes,
maint. fees, etc. What a rip off.

Hope everyone else is enjoying it, because I am not.

    Angry in Cali -

Yeah, the weather here couldn't have been better. Everyone was
telling me that it is "hot." I keep thinking, you guys are nuts.
    This is great. :-D

I might just have to buy a bike and leave it out here or something.

Hey, if you can find a $1200 bike and have a place to leave it, might be a
    good idea.

I've got a bike in LA and one in Austin.

Well, I think the next weekend I'll be in town is the 26-27th of June,
just for the weekend. It looks like my extended vacation will be starting
longer than planned, and may not happen at all. Shit happens when your
two biggest clients buy each other and the networks have to be sorted. Im
my case, building slows down. Now it looks like there's enough to do keep
    me busy a while.

I'll ping ya when I'm coming in.

Yep, I didn't get on the list, and so I didn't make plans for it either.
Have fun in P'town, that out to be a nice ride.

I've got a place I can keep it. A cheap rat bike might be just the
ticket. I'm thinking it would cost less to buy it in Texas and bring
it out here, though. CA has too many taxes, and B.S.

It will be cheaper to register and insure it in Texas, I'm sure. My
Triumph is here in LA, buy I've got a Texas plate on it. Inspection is
out, but CA doesn't check Texas inspection stickers.

It would be a shame to spend time in California and not ride, especially
    up in the bay area.

Besides, lanesplitting is a total blast at 80 mph!

Hope ya have time to get together.
Seems like work always gets in the way of a good time. I've gotta
resked my vacation now that this P'cola trip came up. Now I have to
    figure out where I'm going....
Sounds good! Ping my address above and I'll send ya my phone #. I'll
even make sure I get the correct digits, so I don't lead you astray
Thanks. I'm looking fwd to it since it'll be the first out-of-state
trip on the bike since the 12k miles I did in a couple months last
    summer.
