My friend, Skunk, rides a Shadow-1100. He rode out here to the farm ,
and we stood around and talked.
He showed me his front 'tar...and called my attention to the odd way
the 'tar is 'wearing'. It was wearing on the left shoulder, similar to
tires do on Vehicles, when the front-end is crooked.
Has any one of 'ya, ever seen such<?> Me Neither.
The Honda store tole him it was his ''drive shaft'' causing it<hmm>
Anyone ever heard of that>?<...me neither.

Common wear pattern, relax. Drive more on the wrong side of the road, and
    turn the other way.

I should add, do as I suggest if the risk is worth having even wear.

Louie told you how to solve the problem before I got to. Also, tell him to
put the next tire on straight and it will wear right. It was not aligned
properly before it was tightened down. He needs to go kick someone's ass for
    doing that to him.

  6. Your friend evidently leans more into left-hand curves. Either that,
or he's been doing some "circle" riding. Have him start riding in
right-hand circles for more even wear, or learn to lean more into
    right-hand curves. ;-)

==I knew that, but refrained from tellin' him... He thought it was
something to worry about...I acted like I'd never seen a 'tar do
that......he rode away....I came back in here and had a good bowel
    movement.......JayT

Well it works for me...then again I wont own a cruiser ever again.
They are too damn uncomfortable for me. Something about short arms,
short legs...you know I'm just damned short.

    maybe used to be.

ain't that something how ''we'' all thought that valk was a big'un. Visually
it is, but Harley, Kawa, and Triumph all have heavier, bigger engined
    cruiser now.
I like riding the big heavy bikes. It may be time for u to upsize Bjay,
while ur still physically able. U no skooterbum is still riding those bikes
bigger than a Valk, 'course he's a lot younger than u. Pender, with his
mental toughness, rides a heavier bike, ole broke down Jerry rides the big
brother of that toy you ride. Big eddy is always on a heavy. Damn bjay, come
to think of it, you may have the smallest bike on here.

I was on a rocket III the other day...that's a bike that most reminds me of
the Valk. Going from 6 to 3, u look good bjay.

I dunno Louie the older I get the lighter and smaller I want
motorcycle. I've never NEEDED anything bigger than a 1l motor. Hell I
can do EVERTHING on a 900cc down to 500cc motorcycle that any fat
bloated touring bike can do and lots of it BETTER. <shrug> But hey I'm
weird like that...I don't see a need for hard saddlebags that are
smaller than a dixie cup, when I can pick up a set of soft saddlebags
that will hold a case of beer (bottles) and ice in each bag and still
have room for my rain gear. 8^) Trunk? Don't need it all I need is a
manly cargo rack and I can load more than some stupid trunk.

CB's dude it isn't the 70's anymore lose the damn things.
cell phone? If you got it pull the battery and lose it in the tank
    bag.
GPS? HTF do you use one and pay attention to the road? LOSE THE DANG
THING! I've used them over 20 years and it's no more useful than a
rand mcnally atlas...when the USGS maps are far and away better (show
    more roads to)

I'm talking about how big the goodlooking F6 looks...sticking our like
a small Hemmi.......I tell them citizens, who know nuthin about
motorbikes...when they ask: My Goodness what kind of motor is that in
your MotorCycle...that is when: I say; uh' Hemmi, sir, mam' Aint
no motor that looks like the Dragons. The GW, has the same one, but
it's coverd up, with all that plastic.....that's what I'm talkin'
    uh'bout'...no what I'm sayin?

    (Willie here)
I dont think BJ was necessarily talking about HP. I ride with him , and
know precisely how he feels about his Valk.
I believe he meant ''the magnitude appearance'' of a mighty Valkyrie,
the artistically look of that large Flat 6 cylinder engine, showcasing
the carbs, the intakes, the 6 pipes''. And the sound of that F6,
    uhhhh-uh.
And, if ya've never seen BJ's Valkyrie, it looks a lot like a Cruiser,
especially his, because; most of the time the bags are off of his! His
has a regular Cruiser like windshield. He also has lowered his, to
really resemble a Cruizer. He steers it with elevated
    handleBars...wheeewah.
    It is a goodlooking Motorcyle.
    The best looking Valk, I'veseen.
Maybe someday, you'll get to ride with him, and witness that big ole
Cruiser...zipping along thru the twisties... (A sight to see)
I believe that is what BJ meant when responding to Keith, urban up there
    in the Big Sky.
    Hope this helps. Willie.
