Friday welding question.

I've looked at nearly all the possibilities and conclude:

To upgrade my existing bernzomatic to accept the www.welduk.co.uk cylinders
would cost me around 90ukp including gas. To buy a new mini kit would cost
me around 120ukp but that includes goggles etc.

I've looked at buying a BOC portapack for around 180 but then I need to get
the cylinders. The cost averagely 100ukp a year rental. BOC will not even
consider you already owing a pair, you must pay the rental charge. My
friendly garage will swap out gas cylinders but only the full size ones.
Refill costs are less than 20ukp and will last me years.

So, new option. Buy a gas welding kit, including gauges, goggles, torch, bags
etc for around 90ukp then find some bottles so I can swap out. So now my
    question.

Has anyone got or know of some full size gas bottles anywhere? Or even a
full kit. Check down the side of your sofa.

No, but I may have a couple of very old Bernzomatic ones in the back of
the garden shed. Potential UXBs now though? Carriage might be dodgy
perhaps. Shall I have a look?
I only ever used to braze with the kit and if I really need to do that I
found my carbon arc attachment for the old SiP set the other day.

Yes please, take a peek. I think that one and a half oxy bottles will do the
job I need doing. We'll see if the underground railway can help.

Silly me. As you might expect, the three Oxygen cylinders all appear to
be empty. Sorry for the false alarm.
