Heh heh; is it cool to talk about Tron yet? (I've been waiting for AGES!!..)

I saw the shorts for Tron and was eager to see the movie when I had a real bad prang and was in a coma and on
    life-support for a while.
I had a lot of operations/infections and a LOT of pain medication and my mind wanted to understand what was
happening to me [as well as explain why my perspective was horizontal instead of vertical as I was wheeled on
a trolley from X-ray to Cat-scan to Operating theatre to Recovery and back around again as I was
semi-delirious] so I inserted myself into Tron...
It was pretty weird but the memories are as fresh and "real" as any in my life! [shudder].
Now I know that "reality" is a pretty fragile concept.....

Now; who wants to talk about "The Black Hole"?

    Zigged when I shoulda' zagged!

I was confused riding into the setting sun on my 1yo Ducati Pantah and I ran off the road and hit a tree
breaking my back and rupturing some internals.
The back was sorted out quickly but the belly was missed and I got seriously crook (peritonitus?). (I made it
worse by theiving and drinking a litre of lemon-cordial when I was delerious)...
I was in a coma and on a ventilator and the family were gathered 'round but I pulled through and they all had
to go back home again (ask Leo about the three months he had to spend in Brisbane in 1983 and he'll probably
    punch you!).
As I was so low the back got infected and so did the wound-site where the colostomy was attached so I ended up
pretty messy and spent 5 months in hospital and 18 months off work.
No lasting problems though ('cept the bad attitude) and I was EXTREMELY LUCKY!!

(When I had my Phillip Island prang in 1995 the emergency staff at Dandenong were saying "Oh you're very badly
injured" [badly broken knee/leg and broken arm and wrist, nasty abrasions and a suspected broken neck-bone]
but were taken aback as I'd cheerfully say "Oh this is NOTHIN'! You shoulda' seen me in 1982!!)

Dandenong were saying "Oh you're very badly
    and a suspected broken neck-bone]
That explains the new line of motorcycling apparel the Draginshorts on sale
in Brisbane's best bikeshops being affectionately nicknamed "The Clem".

I wondered why there was so much velvet stuck to the walls!!
(and why she said "me love you long time skippy-boy" as she pulled the glove on!)

My father rocked up to the doc's for a check-up, and there was a female
locum instead of the old bloke he usually saw. She checked his file, saw
what tests were due, pulled on a glove etc...
Dad, very embarrassed "urghh, ouch, this is awful"
Doc with finger up dad's quoit "it's no bed of roses from my end
    either, so shuddup."
