Release of UR furniture hostages to fluffycat achieved today just east
    of Angouleme.

Just had the final diagnosis on the Voxan. Big end gone on front
cylinder :( Many hours of labour to repair and several parts to be
changed as a precaution whilst doing a rebuild. However, Patrick at
Point de Corde has a prospective purchaser interested and hopefully a
deal will be done resulting in an empty trailer on the way back to
blighty and cash towards an Aprilia Shiver next spring.

You just reminded me who it was that I couldn't think of that I didn't
mention in my little report of the weekend trip.

I also met Pete Fisher. Seems like a decent sort.

Appearances can often be deceptive ;-) It was very interesting to put
faces to names. That manchega cheese was excellent. Hope you
    repatriated the 'ham bag' safely.

    Rubbish. TOG's "O" is a sham.

Physically maybe, but his values are like an old woman, Victorian.

So, it seems the "G" is a sham, too.

    Hello, Mr.Chips.

On a plus-point (from your point of view I'd say) I'm soon to become a
    Kawasaki-only owner.

    Must sort that out.

I feel like owning another Yamaha.

Not from where I'm sitting, grandad.

I'd take more umbrage with the G.

Not really, more a return of the fallen hero for a decent burial -
except that the prospective buyer wants to rebuild it and use it.
Seems he is a competent mechanic and Voxan expert and so the labour
will only cost him his own time IYSWIM. He already has a Cafe Racer
and a Roadster. Glutton for punishment eh?
I doubt that even my Jonah qualities could bring down Honda.

I was considering a Versys, so be grateful I decided to stick with an
Italian V twin, which narrowed the field a bit.

Oi ! Bring that 400/4 to Cadwell next year and we'll see who can still
play a good tune on an old fiddle.
