True. I was trying to be optimistic.

You'll have to find some new chat-up lines. "You must have had a
facelift" was, IIRC, taken in good spirit by the lady whom you were
addressing, but not everyone would have noticed the implied
    compliment.

Argh. BT,DT - more than once. Ended up wearing an Audi boot and
roof, once. Easy done, even easier to beat yourself up about.
    <Bear>

    Coke Can.

I've thought that for a while, actually.
Well, yes. You'd look silly doing it in the car.

GWS, hugs to Pat too, mate.

Thanks! As you'd guess, I'd have minded a lot less had Pat not been on
the back. It's as close as I ever want to come to causing her harm. Of
course if someone else wipes us both out on the bike, so be it!
I had exactly the same thought as I wrote it! I learnt how to lift off
locked car brakes even in the direst emergency. Reckon I can learn a
    similar lesson on the bike.

    Will do.

Ouch. GWS Colin and Pat. Are you sure you're ruled-out of the trip?

This is probably the result of spending the entire weekend poncing around in
    your new leathers, you know.

I'm afraid so. The bike will take a while to get sorted for starters,
and I can't see me being able to ride for a few weeks at least.

Yes, but you actually know how to ride.

Indeedy. I do tend to heal well, though - or at least I did before
    getting old and wrinkly.

Hope you've not lost your healing mojo then. Been suffering from that
myself recently. GWS and all that.
