Well, you say that. But I saw you getting a bum-rub, and did a fly-past
to offer mine for similar (ahem) services. And she blanked me
    completely!

    It's a beard thing, isn't it?

Yes, I should've checked Autoroute earlier. I misremembered that most maps
showing the whole of France misrepresent the true N-S axis. The one I
looked at is the Grafocarte one that Logis de France give away. It suggests
C-en-C is a good 10km further south than Sedan.

Well we'd crossed the border about four times following the
    Semos/Semoy valley.

Fantastic fun, those roads. Plus - the Ardennes are seriously pretty.
We fancy spending a week there.

I've suggested a L de F in Moussy near Epernay to TOG. Excellent restaurant
when I was there 2 years ago.

Chateau Pierry is about a 10 min walk away and I was quite impressed with
the tour. Very generous serving of champers in the tasting. You get a
sabrage demo if the owner is there. Much more interesting than Mumm's tour
    in Reims.

    Sorry! I forgot to answer!

    I ended up coming alone[1] so I rented a GL1000
to see if I am worthy of the big league.[2]
It occurred to me when I was already there, that I could have
looked for a trike in Germany, being near and all that.

[1] spare the obvious, pretty please.
    [2] Fun it were!

WTF? Where did you find somewhere to rent you one of those then? I
presume you're talking about the late-70's Goldwing, and not something
I've never heard of using the same name?
As if there were any doubt.
