Niall reminded me of this, by email, today. I'd forgotten.

Auvache isn't on the list, is he? We should be OK, then.

I was really thinking of meeting the lot of you at the ferry exit and join
in on the run to Sedan, but...seeing it on a map: 290 km for 4h 20min (only
half of it is Motorway, other half is N-Roads, "Rue National", with
villages, stoplights, roundabouts) thats why it is a long drive. And all is
dead-straight. No corners at all... Hmmm, shall I really do that?

Although, the final destination, Sedan, close to Luxembourg, should be
*very* nice for hills and bendy roads and all that...

It is not a very interesting/enjoyable journey it has to be said.
You will find it does live up to your expectations.

The run from Calais to Sedan is about as tedious as it gets. Given a choice
between a mind-numbing blast down the autoroute and a mind-numbing blast
    down
the N43 (or whatever it is), I'd opt for the autoroute if only because the
    agony would be over sooner.

If it's not pissing down. I've ridden through the Ardennes twice, the dry
run was far more pleasant than the diesel-laden rain-soaked "oh look, Daz
    has broken down again" one.
