    Bleedin' bloody 'ell.

The best summer for years, and this coming weekend the north-west of
France has pissing rain and storms forecast for Friday through to
    Sunday.

Right, that's me taking the Trophy, then, unless the forecast changes
dramatically between now and Thursday. I was hoping to take the 400
Four if the weather remained as it is now. And the Ducati if it was
just cloudy and cool, but dry.

    <looks on bright side>

More claret carrying capacity than the Honda or Ducati, anyway.

Bloody typical. How do you do it, eh?

    <fx:checks www.weather.com>
Where did you get your forecast from?
According to that we should be OK until Sunday. Still, 280 miles
back to Calais in thunderstorms should be, er, interesting.

I dunno about your particular micro-climate but I think you will find we
consider it rather the norm in Essex.

  9. Wotcha!

What I was going to do this week end isn't happening.

    So..........

You haven't got a place for one, for this coming TOG trip, have you?

But I would have to starve for two days to get my leather trousers on.

I tried emailing direct but everything I have for TOG bounces back.

  10. You'd have to contact the hotel directly.

  11. I was being dead hopeful like and wondering if a ferry ticket and bed
was up for grabs if some one had dropped out.

If you can spare the time can anyone email me the details?

If I had the details, mate, I would!

As it is, I'm hoping to meet someone With Clue in Portsmouth tomorrow
    night.

    Hope you can make it.

Hotel le Frutier, in Villedieu-Les-Poeles 50800

    They have a website : http://www.le-fruitier.com/anglais/contact.htm

People are stopping there Friday and Saturday.

I think most people are going via Portsmouth on thursday night so
someone else can fill in that part... I'm going via Calais tomorrow AM,
then meeting up with Cab in Paris.

Calais trips are £70 return if you dial P&O on 08705 202020 and quote
ref 61418 (for dover) (or 58570 will get you a discount from
Portsmouth.. no idea what the fare is).

I had no problem changing booking times at Calais (which I guess isn't
too far for you to get to) so you may be able to do it in one trip on
Friday or something, if the hotel has room...
