OK, I've shifted this to the Hotel des Acacias, just to the north-east
of Lille, very close to the Belgian border.

    Map: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wl&q=

    Hotel: http://tinyurl.com/2duce2 and http://www.hotelacacias.com/

Somebody please, please tell me that Rue du Dronckaert translates as
Street of the Drunkard, in Flemish :))

This has enough rooms for all. Bookings at the last place exceeded the
room availability within a day or so. Menu choices look good, too, and
    they've got decent

Full details in due course, but I have to pay the hotel deposit in
early December, so I'll be asking for that when I send out the booking
forms next week. Preliminary estimates look like £145 per head for two
nights including ferries, and £180 for single room sociopaths, but
that's to be confirmed once I've got the ferry quotes.

While this is a long way from the most scenic part of France, it's a
swift nip up the autoroute to Brugge for Saturday.

    Looks nice.

"Is the sleep not the most important thing in a hotel ? In order to
always give you the best quality, we have replaced all the beds by new
    Dunlupillo Aérial Palace beds"

Shame so many of them are about to get weed in by drunken UKRMers.

"20 inches Flat screens in all our rooms ! - 26/06/2006

According to statistics', the 4 most important things for a customer
are: food, bed, the bathroom and the television. We already had the
first 3 points, itwe just needed a top quality television. This is why
we installed in all the rooms a 20 inches flatscreen Samsung television.
    An irreproachable quality!"

    Cool! I wonder if they'll be showing late-night pr0n?

And there's a pool/snooker table in the bar. Pool when drunk is fun.

Don't worry, I'm sure the sewage workers will be able to cope with the
stench for just a couple of days.

Possibly. I remember the Saturday morning of the first Sedan trip - I had
been swilling beer all Friday evening, not realising how dangerously close
    we were to the border.

Wasn't it the hotel in Dieppe that showed early-morning pr0n? ISTR
Champ saying he was flicking through the kiddies' cartoon channels,
and came across a full DVDA (or something) at about 8am.
