This will be sorted out in the paperwork to follow next year, but
basically with 40+ bikes, we're being sorted into two boats.

Outbounds are 1055 and 1240. Returns are 1310 and 1405.

Plan at the moment is to put the people from the Frozen North on the
later boat out (so they don't have to get up st sparrows' fart) and
the earlier one back (so they can get home at a sensible hour).

As the hotel is near Lille, it's not a long ride, so even the slow set
(waves at Ginge) should make the hotel by 5.30pm local.

What's the point in booking you at all, given your record for making
    it to the port?

This is to give you the time to pick up pieces of broken bike from the
    motorway, really, isn't it?

I'd prefer the later one on the way out; makes no odds on the way
    back.

  13. You could at least book a cargo slot for the bike: "One crate, bike
    parts, slightly used"

IME, on a bike[1], whatever time you turn up, they tend to let you on
    the next ferry going.

[1] and sometimes in the car, too.
