Just say "Voulez-vous coucher avec moi, ce soir?" to everyone until
you find someone who responds in a positive way.

Do people still have insurance policies with an excess on them?! I'd
much rather pay a £5 excess waiver on an annual policy than end up
    paying £50+ for a claim.

    Your sig is very long.

When my insurance policy arrived it had a covering note on the back
saying THIS DOCUMENT NEGATES THE NEED FOR A GREEN-CARD or some such on
the back. The requirement must have changed over the years.

  9. In uk.rec.motorcycles, BGN amazed us all with this pearl of wisdom:
Where can you get insurance that costs £5 more for no XS?

Dunno thought I'd ask to see if it was something required.
Yep I told the insurance co the dates of the trip so I'm covered.

The green card is an anachronism in the EU - the term seems to have now
become shorthand for "insurance that's valid abroad" - the V5 is, as we
all know, the bikes's registration document.

I think you're supposed to have that, your insurance certificate and
    licence when abroad.

I remember his exasperation at trying to find witnesses.

He was complaining that there were something like two dozen ukrm-ers on
the scene, but when he asked if anybody saw what happened, everyone sort
of whistled, stared at the sky and shook their heads.
