French Run - Belgium

    Thinking of popping across to Belgium on the way down to the hotel.
    Anybody got anywhere to visit?

    Bruges/Brugge is unmissable imho.

    Antwerp ('Hand t'werpen', meaning 'throw away the hand' after the plucky
    cargo ship captain who chopped off the hand of the Dutch 'giant' who taxed
    the Belgians heavily for using their river) is worth a look (but not as
    special as Brugge).

    Give Brussels a miss unless you're after fancy, expensive shops.

    Actually, depending on how much time you have the above 3 cities/towns are
    probably unviable.

    You should avoid Antwerp, they're busy doing a *lot* of work on the ring
    until at least September.
    Queues of 22km were being reported today...
